In the first surgery, the macro-robot arm-assisted implantation of a knee endoprosthesis is performed. This is followed by an emergency trauma surgery operation. Before each surgery, the patient cases are presented and the surgical measures explained. Afterwards, a rehabilitation team will discuss the optimal aftercare and therapeutic treatment strategies for the best possible rehabilitation in an interactive discussion round.

The programme will be led by Dr Gotthard Knoll, specialist in surgery, orthopaedics and trauma surgery. Participation is reserved exclusively for congress participants. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists will receive four recognised continuing education points; for doctors, continuing education points have been applied for from the Saxon State Medical Association. Due to the fact that operation and changeover times cannot be planned exactly, there may be short-term adjustments to the programme.
